Course Overview Personalized Classroom Sessions: Cover essential dive theory, equipment basics, dive planning, and safety. Additionally, learn the principles of diving with Nitrox, including how to analyze Nitrox blends, understand oxygen exposure, and calculate safe dive limits. Confined Water Training: In a pool or controlled water environment, you’ll practice essential skills like buoyancy control, mask clearing, and regulator recovery. This private format allows for personal focus and comfort with scuba gear, including any adjustments for Nitrox use. Open Water Dives with Nitrox Option: Complete a series of open water dives to gain real-world experience and build confidence. With Nitrox-certified instructors, you’ll practice safe Nitrox diving techniques, gaining both Open Water and Nitrox certifications upon completion. Certification Depth & Age Limits Open Water Scuba Diver (Age 15+): Certified to dive to a maximum depth of 60 feet (18 meters). Junior Open Water Diver (Ages 10–14): Certified to dive to 40 feet (12 meters), accompanied by a certified adult. At age 15, divers may upgrade to full certification. Equipment Requirements Personal Gear: Mask, fins, and snorkel must be purchased prior to the course. Rental Exposure Suits: Wetsuits or drysuits (for Drysuit Specialty) are available for rent.
